How it Works

A hands on approach providing a ‘Planting package’ from the design and sourcing of plants through to implementation and aftercare

The initial consultation is an informal discussion on site to ascertain what you are hoping to achieve, particular likes, dislikes, budget, in order to formulate a brief and create a scheme that is tailored to you and your garden.

Preparation of the planting beds will take place prior to implementation of the planting package and cost estimates will be provided according to the work required.

The planting is based on the design unique to each clients garden. Following the consultation a quote is supplied for the ‘package’. The total area of shrub and herbaceous planting is priced per square metre. Trees, climbers and any larger specimen plants are charged separately.

Mood boards, sketches and working plans are developed. Once the scheme is agreed the best quality plants are sourced and delivered to site from local growers and national suppliers.

Sarah and her team will layout the scheme and get the plants into the ground with care and the correct planting medium. Plant species grow at different rates. The scheme is planned to give each variety the optimum conditions to form ground cover. This is usually achieved in the third season after planting, given favorable conditions and aftercare management.

Plants will be watered in on site during the planting process and the beds finished with a recommended top dressing of mulch (cost of which is shown within the quote) to provide an annual slow release feed and help to suppress the weeds.

On completion we will provide an aftercare maintenance schedule to guide you as the garden develops.

Sarah can provide a review service of the garden through the seasons.
